Beautiful summertime fragrance

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I loved this fragrance from Dolce and Gabbana. For years I have use the Light Blue, but this is a much more complex, mature take. Citrus, woody, fig notes. Amazing scent and perfect summertime fragrance.

Familiar Scent

I received a mini sample of this Dolce & Gabbana fragrance to try. Normally, I receive full-size bottles, which allows me to review not only the scent but also the packaging and design—something that’s important to many perfume lovers. In this case, I can only speak to the fragrance itself. The scent is fresh and citrusy, definitely a good option for summertime wear. However, it’s quite similar to other Dolce & Gabbana fragrances, there’s that familiar signature base but nothing in particular stands out or feels new or unique with this one. It’s pleasant, but not something I would personally recommend or purchase myself.

Refreshing peppery scent

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue – Love in Capri: A Sun-Kissed Escape in a Bottle (5/5 Stars) I don’t say this lightly: Love in Capri is a fragrance that truly lives up to its name. I’ve tried my fair share of summer perfumes, but this one? This one transports you. It’s like a vacation on your pulse points. The Scent Journey: From the very first spritz, it opens with this juicy, sun-drenched citrus burst—bright lemon and sweet mandarin orange. It’s zingy, refreshing, and immediately lifts your mood. It reminds me of stepping off a ferry in Capri and getting hit with that mix of salt air, citrus groves, and sunlight bouncing off the water. Then, just as you settle into the citrus glow, it starts to soften. The heart is this soft floral bouquet that leans feminine but never cloying—honeysuckle and jasmine make it a little dreamy, and the almond blossom adds this unexpected creamy warmth that smooths everything out. The heliotrope is barely there but adds a powdery whisper that makes the whole thing feel airy and effortless. And the base—wow. Musk, cedar, and amber round it all out with a softness that lingers on the skin in the most subtle way. It’s warm but never heavy. Clean, but still sensual. The dry-down feels like golden hour on the coast: a little sexy, a little nostalgic. Where and When to Wear It: This is absolutely a warm-weather fragrance. It shines in the spring and summer, and it’s perfect for daytime—whether you’re headed to brunch, a picnic, or just out for a walk. But I’ve also worn it to casual date nights and evening events when I want to feel fresh, pretty, and a little sun-kissed. It’s the kind of scent people lean in for. Longevity & Performance: For an eau de parfum, I’d say the longevity is solid. I get a good 6-8 hours, especially when I apply to moisturized skin and give it a minute to settle. The projection is soft but noticeable—it doesn’t shout, but it gets compliments.

The jasmine tea and apple scent combination smells great. I love fruity/sweet scents but this smelled unique and close to my preference. Its a mature and feminine scent and definitely gives off vacation vibes. would recommend if you like tea/apple.

A sexier, spicier take on a classic!

Dolce&Gabbana “Light Blue Capri In Love” is the most recent summer flanker, launched in 2025, of the iconic “Light Blue.” Gone is the light citrusy freshness of its predecessor in favor of a darker, more spicy take on “Light Blue.” With notes of black pepper, fig, and patchouli, “Capri In Love” is a more sensual interpretation on the classic fragrance. The green qualities of fig, slight spiciness of pepper, and sensuality of patchouli makes for an interesting new twist on the original while still being appropriate for those warm spring and summer months. Unfortunately, like the rest of the “Light Blue” line, this fragrance is on the weaker side when it comes to longevity. If you’re an oversprayer like myself, that shouldn’t be much of a problem, but if you’re light handed, I would suggest going a little heavier on application.

Great flanker!

Really great scent! In my opinion it's up there with Italian Love as one of the best in the line. Perfect for the coming (very) hot months if you want something with a bit more personality and that isn't as overly popular as many of the other options. Average performance (like most citrus scents).
